Laine mailed me all the way from New York after Andy had proposed. She said that she was yet to confirm a date and location for the wedding, but she knew she wanted me to do it! I was so flattered that someone had followed my work and knew straight away that they wanted me to photograph their special day.
Their ceremony took place at Leatherhead registry office and after some photos in the garden, everyone jumped onto the big red bus which took them to The Tree, in Box Hill. When we met they had told me about a beautiful viewpoint nearby so we had scheduled some time out to go along and get some photos there. These two are absolutely besotted with each other and therefore a joy to photograph (It helped that they are also both a little crazy and up for anything too) We then headed back for dinner and speeches and as you will see from the photos, they were so emotional. Laine's little boy Aaron was amazing and had everyone crying and giggling at the same time. When the party started, Andy took to the microphone and sang to Laine. He is such a talented guy with the most fantastic voice and hearing him sing Al Green's Lets Stay Together while looking into Laine's eyes was such a lovely moment.
So much thought and effort went into all of the details and it all came together beautifully. All of the flowers were grown by Andy's mum, the delicious cakes were made my Laine's mum and the love hearts were donated by friends. This made them all the more special I think, along with all of the other meaningful little touches they had added.
